Rich Ives

Senior Vice President, Business Insurance Claim, Travelers

Rich Ives is a member of the Claim Senior Leadership team and leads Business Insurance (BI) Claim. BI Claim encompasses the product lines of Workers Compensation, General Liability, oversight of BI Auto and Property Claim, and Specialty Claim operations for Construction, Oil and Gas, Technology, Excess, Public Sector, Northland and Northfield, National Programs, and run-off operations. In addition, the Claim Account Executives and International Claim functions are aligned with BI. In each of these areas, Claim works closely with our business partners to share information and insights.

Throughout his tenure, Rich has led numerous corporate strategies in the U.S. and Canada including leading Auto Claim and later Workers Compensation Claim. In addition, Rich provides industry thought leadership on pressing issues like breaking the cycle of opioid addiction, chronic pain, the influence of workforce changes, whole-person health, and he serves on the board of The Workers Compensation Research Institute.

Outside of Travelers, Rich is the Head Coach for Stafford, CT, High School Wrestling. Rich and his wife Shanda have seven children and currently reside in Stafford Springs, CT.
