About the Travelers Institute
Committed to advancing education and public policy dialogue
Travelers established the Travelers Institute as a means of participating in the public policy dialogue on matters of interest to the property casualty insurance sector, as well as the financial services industry more broadly. The Travelers Institute draws upon the industry expertise of Travelersʼ senior management and the technical expertise of its risk professionals, and other experts to provide information, analysis, and recommendations to public policymakers and regulators.
"So many of today’s public policy debates could do with more light and less heat. We created the Travelers Institute to lead thoughtful and constructive conversations about today’s challenges and tomorrow’s needs. The Travelers Institute uses its convening power to bring together elected officials, policymakers and thought leaders to share insights, learn together and solve problems on behalf of our customers, our agents and brokers, and the communities we serve."
- Alan Schnitzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Travelers
