Executive Vice President and Chief Technology & Operations Officer, Travelers

Mojgan Lefebvre is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology & Operations Officer for Travelers. She leads the company’s global technology and operations organization, including technology, data, analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and business operations – spanning business resiliency, customer service, premium audit and billing across the enterprise.

Since joining Travelers in 2018, Lefebvre has been a driving force behind the company’s digital and operational transformation – modernizing core platforms, enhancing customer and employee experiences, and enabling business growth through technology.

Previously, she served as Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Liberty Mutual’s commercial insurance business. She has held senior roles across industries, including at medical diagnostics company bioMérieux and consulting firm Bain & Company.

Lefebvre is committed to developing the next generation of technology talent through mentorship and advocacy. She also founded Empower Together, Travelers’ internal professional development group dedicated to helping employees achieve their full career potential. She served as the executive sponsor of the company’s previous partnerships with nonprofits such as Girls Who Code and AnitaB.org.

She has been recognized as a Forbes CIO Next 50 Innovative Technology Leader, BostonCIO Super Global ORBIE^® Award recipient, Reuters Trailblazing Women in Insurance honoree, CIO Hall of Fame inductee, National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology, and Digital Insurance Women in Insurance Leadership Award recipient.

Lefebvre serves on the Board of Directors for Unum Group and the Georgia Tech Advisory Board. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology’s College of Sciences, where she was also class valedictorian. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Lefebvre has lived and worked in multiple countries and speaks French and Farsi fluently. She resides in Boston with her husband and two daughters.
