Claude Howard leads the Workers Compensation Claim Product team for Travelers, driving transformational change with national oversight of innovation, product development, field leadership, analytics, training, audit and compliance. With 35 years in the property and casualty insurance industry, Claude has advanced through a range of leadership roles across both business and personal insurance lines.
Claude has a B.S. in sociology with a minor in psychology from Illinois State University. He is also a 2010 Career Advancement Program fellow with Management Leadership for Tomorrow. Claude currently serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, Inc., the Alpha Sigma Phi Educational Foundation, the National African American Insurance Association, Greater Hartford Chapter, and is the Hartford Campus Chair for the Travelers Community Connections Campaign.
Claude and his wife, Michelle, have four children and currently reside in Avon, Connecticut. When not working, Claude likes to spend time with his family, remain active in many sports, including running 5Ks, cook and find the right outlets to enjoy music.
